No matter how good or bad the times may be, someone must stay behind to bear witness. Outfo Production was not founded with lofty ideals or political motives; we simply seek to document the world around us—to witness, to stand together, and to move forward as one. In early 2021, we picked up our cameras and began our journey of recording history. From casual street photography to covering current affairs as student journalists, and later launching various photography projects to express our perspectives, we have left small but meaningful traces along the way. In such times, we believe our duty is to remain steadfast and contribute in whatever way we can. Even if we cannot always stay rooted in place, we will remain unwavering in heart—for this is the task given to us by our era.

"Outfo" is a colloquial term in Hong Kong, referring to an out-of-focus image. We chose this name because we believe that even in times of great upheaval, no detail beyond the spotlight should be overlooked. Inspired by the philosophy of water’s adaptability, we recognize that the path ahead may seem impassable, but by seeking hidden routes beyond the obvious, we will always find a way forward—towards the dawn. We believe that a city never truly dies, and even in difficult times, we will continue to uncover and document the beauty that exists beyond the focus of the mainstream.

Looking back, our journey—from street photography to interviews and creative projects—has been immensely rewarding. More importantly, we hope our work sparks reflection and inspires even the smallest changes. We are grateful to all who have grown with us and borne witness alongside us. We promise to keep moving forward, regardless of how the times may change. We will stay true to our mission, honor our responsibilities, and remain unwavering in our commitment to documenting our era.
